Anyone that knows me, knows I am a planner. I enjoy the anticipation of a trip to another locale and reading a map, even if the GPS system is guiding the way. I like to get a feel for the environs and the possibilities offered down the side roads. Planning and exploring seem to be hard-wired in my personality. So, it should come as no surprise that I believe that developing a strategic plan for your Rotary club is one of the most important projects for club leaders. A strategic plan offers a customized road map, helping the club to stay focused on its goals. I personally prefer a 1-page plan that succinctly illustrates the goals for the next 3-4 years. This simple plan guides club decisions and helps explain the club projects to potential members. Won’t you develop your plan for success?
